Justin Downey (born 11 November 1986) is a South African rugby union footballer, currently playing for Japanese Top League side Suntory Sungoliath. His regular playing position is flanker. ==Career== He started his career at the , making his debut for their Vodacom Cup side, the in the 2008 Vodacom Cup competition. He was included in the squad for the 2009 Super 14 season and even named on the bench for their match against the in Perth, but failed to make an appearance. Lack of game time saw him move to the in 2010, where he spent the next three years and made close to fifty appearances. During this spell, he also represented the during the 2012 Super Rugby season. He returned to the prior to the 2013 Currie Cup Premier Division.
